Creativity needs courage.I couldn’t agree more with this statement that we need to be daring and wild to be creative
Anw, CATS lesson has been very fun. But it’s a pity that we’re almost at the end of the module already :/ Sigh.
In case some of you do not know what’s CATS about. CATS is actually one of the module that I’m attending now. & from CATS, I’ve learnt many things. I’ve learnt to use different techniques such as SCAMPER and the 6 thinking hats to guide our thinking to be creative. And most importantly, I’ve learnt that if we have to use these techniques frequently so it will become a habit that we use these techniques to generate ideas whenever I am to design a product :D haha.
Remember those times when we have to submit 100 thumbnails drawings of a door knob within 2 days? I confirm if that time I knew about SCAMPER and 6 thinking hats, generating ideas will be so much faster la :/
Luckily, that MP project recently allows me to use SCAMPER at least :D Haha! Okay la, what I did was.. I opened up that SCAMPER website again and follow the steps. It was damn time consuming lah I tell you =.= because I have to slowly try out the steps one by one and some actually work out somehow! Though the whole process was kinda slow, but I think with practice, I will eventually hasten the speed la hor. Haha. Last time when I have to think of something new and I would just let my imagination run wild without any direction and without writing down anything because I didn’t dare to. I though it’s impossible for crazy ideas to work. But as soon as I realized that as long as after you write the ideas, regardless how crazy it is, and slowly imagine it one by one, eventually you will find a few that work perfectly with your project! Haha
In simpler word, it’s quite easy to be creative as long as I got SCAMPER to guide me along, I think. Haha!
