To me, quality of the work of a student actually reflects how much concern and guidance is given from the teachers to their students. For an amateur industrial designer like me, producing a 99% perfect work is impossible. Unless we are properly guided by an experienced person from the start, then we will learn how to and what to look for when making a new design in the future.
Thank you, Ms Dianne.
If it wasn't because of you, I believe most of us will most probably still wandering aimlessly in the world of industrial design. & I will not even know simplest thing like the existence of Coroflot. Really thank you for going the extra mile for us.
For another major module, unlike Dianne, he didn’t guide us in our work. Not even responding to us when we approached him for help. And if he claims that we aren’t interested in this module and we simply pushed everything to last min, hence it’s our own fault that the quality of our outcome design sucks. I will sue him, for sure. Bai tuo, you’re not even interested in teaching us, and you expect us to be interested in this module? Our work became so last min, you think fully is our fault? If it isn’t because of your ridiculous adding of journals and quantity of works, will we stress ourselves out by squeezing the projects into so little time? We aren’t primary school or secondary school students anymore. We know our time management better, so please don’t insult us by saying it’s our own fault that our work isn’t as good. We are like you; we only have 24 hours a day.
It’s funny though. The final designs from only 4 thumbnails are actually far better than the final design that produced out from 100 thumbnails. Tell me, large quantity = good design? It’s not, isn’t it?
It’s holiday, but I really don’t feel the shiok-ness. I’m feeling disappointed. Because I didn’t receive an opportunity to learn despite the fact that the module is the heaviest graded one. School is a place for us to receive education with guidance of the employed teachers and lecturers. But, why do I feel so helpless so often when we have to learn things such as photoshop, rhino, different rendering programs almost all on our own? There’s no longer a purpose for the lecturers who heck care the students to stay hired anymore, isn’t it?
But at least, I know I’ve really tried my best in this semester already so I will not regret. Just pure disappointment. I know I could have did better for everything.
Today, I spent $50 on printings, $15 on folios and $10 on mounting boards. If I knew poly is going to be so... freaking crazy on expenses, I would have enrolled into SRJC after O.
Anyway, hello sweet dreams, good bye sleepless nights.
